Name/Title The Asia-Pacific Symposium on New Technologies for Prediction and Mitigation of Sediment Disasters
Venue: Country,City Sabo-kaikan, Tokyo, Japan
Date Nov. 18-19, 2009
Detail

“The Asia-Pacific Symposium on New Technologies for Prediction and Mitigation of Sediment Disasters” was held at Sabo-kaikan, Tokyo on Nov. 18-19, 2009. In the symposium, two keynote lectures, 15 oral presentations, and 38 poster presentations were presented. In the second day of the symposium, the panel discussion was held, in which various large scale sediment disasters and counter-measures are shown by panelists from the Asia-Pacific countries. As a result, all the panelists agreed to launch “Sediment Disaster Information Network” to promote further exchange of information or know-how to each other.
