On September 6, 2013, the "4th International Seminar on Water Related Disaster Solution (HATI)" was held at Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The Sabo session was also held as a parallel session along with the main program.

In this session, the developments were presented, mainly on countermeasures against large-scale sediment disasters in Japan and Indonesia, and opinions were exchanged on responses to and systems to prevent disasters.

In addition, about 20 participants from such as Public Work Research Institute, universities, and private companies from Japan made a presentation on developments related to sediment disasters and water resource management, etc.
