Detail With a presence of a total of 18 members from the Taiwan Disaster Prevention Society and Chinese Soil and Water Conservation Society visiting Japan, the Japan-Taiwan Joint Workshop “Actual Conditions of Deep-seated Landslides and Challenges in Research Study” was held from Sunday 16 to Saturday 22 in January.

In the workshop, two lectures from Taiwan and one from Japan were presented followed by a general discussion session, in which both Japanese and Taiwanese participants were actively involved in the exchange of opinions with Yoshifumi Hara, Director of the Erosion and Sediment Control Research Group of the Public Works Research Institute acting as the coordinator.
